Travelling by Train

Seaton does not have its own mainline railway station. The nearest station is Axminster (AXM), approximately five to six miles from Seaton. Axminster sits on the West of England railway line, providing connections towards Exeter and London Waterloo.

From Axminster, you can continue your journey to Seaton by local bus or taxi. When planning your return journey, particularly after an evening event, we recommend checking your onward bus or taxi arrangements in advance.

Travelling by Bus

Seaton is served by local and regional bus routes connecting the town with surrounding communities and transport links. Services include connections towards Axminster, Sidmouth, Exeter, Lyme Regis and other nearby towns and villages.

Routes and timetables can change, so we recommend checking current journey information before travelling rather than relying on printed times.

Coming From Further Away?

If you're travelling to Ivy’s Study for a special event, visiting speaker or workshop, Seaton makes a lovely place to spend a little longer. We are situated on the East Devon coast and Jurassic Coast, with the beach, independent businesses, cafés and other local attractions all within the wider town.

So if you're travelling some distance to join us, you might like to make a day of it, arrive early, explore Seaton, visit Everchange Emporium and enjoy some time by the sea before your event.

Visiting Everchange Emporium

Ivy’s Study grew from the community surrounding Everchange Emporium, and the two spaces sit alongside one another in Seaton. If you're visiting Ivy’s Study, you're very welcome to also call into Everchange and explore the shop during its normal opening hours.

Although connected, Ivy’s Study has its own programme and opening arrangements, so please don't assume that an open Everchange Emporium means that Ivy’s Study is also open for drop-in visits.

Accessibility & Additional Requirements

We want people to feel as comfortable as possible when visiting Ivy’s Study. We will provide detailed accessibility information about the building and facilities so that visitors can make an informed decision before travelling. If you have an accessibility requirement or there is something that would make attending one of our events easier for you, please contact us before your visit.

We'll always be happy to discuss what we can reasonably do to help.

Before You Travel

For events and booked sessions, please check your booking confirmation for the arrival time and any event-specific information.

We also recommend checking current parking and public-transport information before setting off, particularly when attending evening or weekend events. If you're unsure about anything before your visit, just ask.

We Look Forward to Welcoming You

Whether you're travelling from around the corner or making a journey to discover something new, we hope Ivy’s Study becomes somewhere you're always pleased to return to.
