Whether you need somewhere for an hour, an afternoon or an entire day, Ivy’s Study offers two distinctive spaces available for private hire in Seaton, Devon. From one-to-one sessions and quiet study to workshops, talks, meetings, pop-ups and private gatherings, we want our rooms to be used by people with interesting things to do, teach, share and create.
Our pricing is designed to remain straightforward and accessible, with options depending on how you would like to use the space.
The Study
Read • Reflect • Discover
Our smaller and quieter room, The Study has been created for reading, research, writing, reflection, conversation and small-group work. There are two ways to hire the space depending on what you're coming to do.
Personal Study
Sometimes you simply need somewhere to think. Our personal study rate is for one person using The Study for their own non-commercial reading, research, writing or study.
You don't need to be studying formally. You might be researching something you're passionate about, writing a book, working towards a qualification, journalling, exploring your spiritual practice or simply wanting a few uninterrupted hours away from everyday distractions.

2 Hours | from £40
Longer personal study sessions can also be arranged. Personal Study rates are for individual, non-commercial use of the room.
Private & Professional Hire
The Study can also be privately hired for one-to-one and small-group use. This is suitable for tutoring • mentoring • consultations • one-to-one sessions • small meetings • study groups • interviews • professional appointments and similar uses.

The Hearth

The Hearth is our larger and most flexible space, designed for people to come together. Furniture can be arranged to accommodate different styles of gathering, from seated talks and presentations to table-based workshops, discussion circles and more open layouts.
The Hearth is suitable for talks • lectures • workshops • meetings • demonstrations • discussion groups • book clubs • creative sessions • spiritual and pagan gatherings • community events • small celebrations • private gatherings and more.

Talks, Workshops & Ticketed Events
If you're planning a commercial workshop, ticketed event, talk or gathering that requires additional preparation, equipment or support, we offer dedicated event hire.
Event Hire from £40 per hour
Half-day, full-day and bespoke event packages are available depending upon what you're planning.

Pop-Up Shop Hire
Ivy’s Study is also available to independent makers, authors, artists, specialist retailers and small businesses looking for a temporary physical space.

Longer or multi-day pop-ups can be discussed individually.
If you'd like to combine your pop-up with a demonstration, talk, signing, workshop or other activity, we'd be happy to explore this with you.
Equipment & Additional Options
We are developing Ivy’s Study with professional talks, workshops and events in mind. Depending upon your booking and the equipment available at the time, additional options may include:

Some equipment may be included within particular hire packages, while specialist requirements may carry an additional charge.

A Few Things to Know
Prices shown are starting prices and may vary depending on the nature of your booking, number of attendees, required setup, equipment, staffing and duration. Your agreed hire period should include any time you require to set up and clear away unless otherwise agreed.
Regular bookings and bespoke arrangements can also be discussed.
