Everchange Emporium Assistant
Part-Time In-Store Role at Everchange Emporium
We’re looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic person to join our team at Everchange Emporium. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys being around people, isn’t afraid to get stuck in, and would love to be part of a busy, creative and magical working environment. No two days in the Emporium are quite the same!
What will you be doing?
The role can include:
- Welcoming and serving customers in the shop
- Helping customers find products and answering questions
- Picking and packing online orders
- Restocking and keeping the shop looking beautiful
- General cleaning and tidying
- Helping to film social media content
- Taking part in and hosting TikTok LIVE events
- Assisting with products, deliveries and behind-the-scenes tasks
- Generally getting stuck in wherever the team needs you!
A little about the role
This is an in-store, part-time position, so you will need to be able to travel to Everchange Emporium for your shifts.
Hours will vary, and working days and times may change from week to week, so some flexibility with availability is important.
Shifts will generally be around 3–5 hours per day.
The shop can be a busy, fast-paced environment, and you should expect to be on your feet for the whole of your shift. There can be lots happening at once, particularly when we're serving customers, packing orders, creating content and running TikTok LIVE.
We’re looking for someone who can keep smiling, stay organised and work well as part of a team when things get busy.
Who might be a great fit?
You don’t need to know everything about witchcraft or every product we sell we can teach you!
What matters most is that you are:
Friendly • Reliable • Approachable • Confident • Hard-working • Flexible • Comfortable on camera • Happy to learn • Willing to get stuck in
An interest in witchcraft, paganism, spirituality, books, crystals or the kinds of things we offer at Everchange Emporium would certainly be a bonus.
Because TikTok LIVE and content creation form part of the role, you should also be comfortable speaking to people, appearing on camera and representing Everchange Emporium online.
Being part of our team comes with a few Everchange extras:
20% staff discount across the shop.
Early access to new products before they launch publicly.
Staff samples & freebies when we have testers, discontinued stock, promotional items or surplus products available.
Relaxed dress code we want our team to feel comfortable expressing their own personal style while keeping things practical and suitable for working in the shop.
And, of course, the chance to work somewhere a little different surrounded by interesting products, wonderful customers and a small team where everyone plays a part.
Interested?
We’d love to hear a little about you, rather than just receiving a standard CV.
Please email:
everchangeemporium@hotmail.com
Tell us:
- A little about yourself
- Your current availability, including days and times
- Any relevant experience you have
- Why you think you’d be a good fit for the Everchange Emporium team
You’re welcome to include a CV too, but most importantly, tell us who you are!
We’re a small team, so we’re looking for someone who will genuinely enjoy becoming part of the day-to-day life of Everchange Emporium, serving our wonderful customers, helping behind the scenes, creating content, packing orders and occasionally embracing the organised chaos of a busy shop day.
If that sounds like your kind of workplace, we’d love to hear from you. 🌿✨
Content & Business Support Assistant
Part-Time • Primarily Remote • Weekly In-Store Meeting • Flexible Hours
Everchange Emporium is growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, organised and creative person to join our small team in a primarily remote support role.
This is a little different from a traditional social media position.
We’re looking for someone who can help us keep on top of the many things happening behind the scenes at Everchange Emporium and Ivy’s Study from content and social media to event administration, website updates and general organisation.
If you’re the sort of person who loves a to-do list, enjoys making things look beautiful, can turn a rough idea into something useful and gets genuine satisfaction from getting things organised, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
✦ What might you be doing?
This will be a varied role and may include:
- Helping to plan and organise our social media content
- Creating graphics and content using Canva
- Editing photographs and short-form videos
- Preparing TikTok, Instagram and Facebook content
- Writing or preparing captions from information we provide
- Scheduling approved social media content
- Organising photographs, videos and other digital content
- Helping maintain our social media and content calendar
- Looking at basic social media analytics and identifying successful content
- Updating website content and product/event information
- Helping prepare newsletters and marketing campaigns
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, trackers and task lists
- Helping organise Ivy’s Study events and workshops
- Preparing event listings and promotional information
- Keeping track of information from event hosts and speakers
- Sending approved information and following up for missing details
- Researching products, ideas, events or information when requested
- Helping keep our various projects organised and moving forward
- Other general administrative and creative tasks as they arise
A big part of the role will simply be helping turn “this needs doing” into “this is ready for you to approve.”
✦ Weekly In-Store Creative Meeting
Although the majority of this role can be completed remotely, you will need to be able to travel to Everchange Emporium approximately once a week for a face-to-face working session.
These sessions will give us a chance to catch up, plan upcoming priorities and create content together.
They may include:
- Photographing new products
- Filming TikTok and social media content
- Capturing photographs and video around the shop
- Creating content for Ivy’s Study
- Planning upcoming campaigns and events
- Talking through ideas and upcoming projects
- Reviewing priorities for the week ahead
- Gathering everything you need to continue working remotely
Because of this, we're looking for someone who lives within a realistic travelling distance of Everchange Emporium in Seaton, Devon and is happy to attend these regular in-person sessions.
✦ Who are we looking for?
We’d love to find someone who is:
Organised • Reliable • Creative • Friendly • Self-motivated • Detail-focused • Comfortable with technology • Good at communicating • Able to work independently
You’ll need to be comfortable receiving a task, working through it independently and asking questions when something isn't clear.
Experience with social media, Canva, content creation, websites, photography, video editing or administration would be particularly useful.
You should also be comfortable taking photographs and filming content during our in-store sessions. You don't need to be a professional photographer or videographer creativity, confidence and a willingness to learn are more important.
You do not need to be an expert in witchcraft. An interest in witchcraft, paganism, spirituality, folklore, books or the type of community we're building would certainly help you understand our world, but being organised, trustworthy and willing to learn matters enormously to us.
✦ How the role will work
This is a primarily remote, part-time position, with approximately one in-person working session at Everchange Emporium each week.
The remainder of your hours can generally be completed remotely.
Hours may vary depending on what is happening within the businesses, with flexibility around when many tasks are completed alongside occasional deadlines for events, launches and campaigns.
We use shared digital systems to assign tasks, provide information and keep track of what is being worked on.
You won't simply be handed unrestricted access to everything. Access to our systems will be provided according to what you need for your role, helping us keep both our business and customer information secure.
✦ What we're hoping to build
We’re not necessarily looking for someone who already knows how to do absolutely everything.
We’re looking for someone we can trust, who can learn how we work and gradually take ownership of more of the everyday organisation that happens behind the scenes.
As you become familiar with Everchange, there may be opportunities for the role and responsibilities to develop.
✦ A Few Team Perks ✦
Being part of our team comes with a few Everchange extras:
20% staff discount across the shop.
Early access to new products before they launch publicly.
Staff samples & freebies when we have testers, discontinued stock, promotional items or surplus products available.
Relaxed dress code for your in-store days we want our team to feel comfortable expressing their own personal style while keeping things practical and suitable for work.
